Job Description 

We are hiring an experienced Engineer for our  Metro One Office Building in Hyattsville MD. The Engineer is a hands-on role in which you will be responsible for day to day operations of the 8 story commercial building located in Prince George's County directly across from The Mall at Prince George's (PG Plaza). Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Lead & direct the work of Building Engineer/Maintenance Tech/Porter

· Provide exceptional customer service to tenants

· Develop strong working relationships with outside vendors and tenants

· Oversee preventative maintenance programs, and mechanical equipment maintenance (VAV chillers, pumps, cooling towers, etc.) and recommend energy saving and other improvements

· Ensure all tenant service requests are addressed in a timely manner and appropriately recorded in Yardi

· And other duties to maintain the building operations.
 

Where You Will Work 

You will work at Metro 1 Office Building. Located in Hyattsville, MD.

Requirements

Qualifications and experience include:

· 5-7 years’ experience in all phases of commercial building operations

· Experience with VAV systems

· Experience with EMS, Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing systems

· Construction oversight highly preferred

· Exceptional skills in tenant relations

· Excellent written & verbal communication skills

· Strong organizational skills & ability to prioritize

· Excellent leadership skills to lead & motivate small team

· Ability to diagnose, address, & escalate issues in a timely manner. Ability to handle most technical issues onsite, & judgement to know when to notify Property Manager

· Ability to maintain an owner mentality

· Proven ability to build vendor relationships, and manage and negotiate terms

· CFC certification highly preferred

· DC 3rd License a plus

· Ability to work beyond standard business hours as needed. 24-hour availability is required.
