Commercial HVAC Technician

We provide facility and preventative maintenance services to aviation, government, and commercial facilities throughout the United States and the Caribbean. With over two decades of experience in the maintenance and construction industries, we are seeking to add an Experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to our dynamic team.

Scope of Work

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC/R related equipment in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC/R commercial equipment and perform necessary repairs or replacements of fans, blowers, motors, filters, belts, AC vents, ducts, water systems, and commercial kitchen equipment
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections of HVAC/R commercial equipment to ensure they operate at peak efficiency
• Utilize computer-based service tools to effectively troubleshoot HVAC systems, employing cutting-edge technology for accurate diagnosis and efficient repairs
• Respond to calls promptly and professionally, addressing client concerns and resolving issues in a timely manner
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in all HVAC/R work, including handling refrigerants and other hazardous materials
• Document all work performed, including parts used, repairs completed, and maintenance tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping
• Provide recommendations to clients regarding HVAC/R equipment upgrades, replacements, or enhancements to improve efficiency and performance
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget

Requirements

• Accredited HVAC certification and credentials
• At least 2 years of experience as a HVAC Technician or similar related role
• Proficiency in troubleshooting HVAC/R commercial equipment such as commercial chillers, pumps, air control systems, walk-in freezers, coolers, and other commercial refrigerant equipment
• Ability to use thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC system
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Must have a valid US driver's License with at least 3 years of experience- approvals and final decision is subjected to our automobile insurance carrier's criteria

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted

Shift: 3:30pm - 12:00am. Days off to be determined
