Description
HVAC Apprentice I is responsible for assembling sheet metal, setting roof curbs, installing Mechanical equipment, as well as other HVAC related items. Travel as needed is required.
Requirements
• Must demonstrate the willingness to excel and learn commercial HVAC.
• Determine the right tools and equipment necessary to complete the job successfully.
• Must learn industry-relevant building codes and regulations for installing and maintaining commercial plumbing systems.
• Measure, cut, and bend mechanical material.
• Must be on the job site at the required time.
• Attend all safety meetings.
• Follow instructions given by on-site leadership.
• Cleaning the job site after the work is completed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and their inner workings.
• Familiarity with all tools and equipment necessary for HVAC installation and maintenance.
• Physical fitness and manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• OSHA 10 Certification required.
• At least 1 plus years of experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Required to stand, walk, and sit.
• Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
• Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
• Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
• Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
