Position Overview

Systems XT is seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial HVAC controls projects throughout Orange and Los Angeles Counties. This role will be responsible for managing project execution from kickoff through completion, coordinating with customers and field teams, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have strong HVAC controls experience, excellent organizational skills, and hands-on knowledge of Delta control systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and industrial HVAC controls projects from start to finish 
• Coordinate project schedules, timelines, and job meetings 
• Order materials and parts needed for projects 
• Communicate with customers, subcontractors, technicians, and internal teams 
• Review project scope, drawings, and specifications 
• Track project progress and ensure deadlines are met 
• Assist with project quoting and change orders 
• Ensure quality control and customer satisfaction throughout project lifecycle 
• Support field technicians and troubleshoot project-related issues as needed 

Work Environment & Travel

• Projects located throughout Orange County and Los Angeles County 
• Local travel only 
• Combination of office, jobsite, and customer-facing responsibilities 

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary: $120K – $140K

Requirements

Qualifications

Required:

• Minimum 5 years of HVAC controls project management experience 
• Experience managing commercial and/or industrial HVAC controls projects 
• Strong understanding of building automation systems (BAS) 
• Experience with Delta Controls systems preferred 
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
• Strong communication and leadership skills 
• Valid driver’s license 

Preferred:

• Experience with estimating or project quoting 
• Technical HVAC controls troubleshooting background 
• Familiarity with construction/project documentation
