HVAC Mechanic Apprentice (un)

What you will do 

Apprentices will perform control systems and mechanical equipment service, along with any other work assigned by the Employer under the labor agreement. Their responsibilities are limited only by their demonstrated capabilities, as determined by the Employer, and compensated at the respective apprentice rate of pay. All assigned work will be carried out under the Employer’s direction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting and resolving problems

• Responding to basic warranty calls

• Keeping JCI, contractors, and customers informed of job progress and any issues as needed

Qualifications Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Familiarity with HVAC equipment
• EPA Refrigeration certification a plus
• The ability to perform general building maintenance
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• This position requires a current driver's license
• Willingness to supplement on-the-job training with training provided through the apprenticeship program
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Pay Range: $25.86 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
