Position Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, accountable individual to fill the role of Project PM supporting the Facilities Operations Group. As a Project PM, you’ll be responsible for oversight of the construction including budgeting, schedule, logistics, and ensuring that the construction activities are completed safely and without impact to the manufacturing process.Role and Responsibilities
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Construction oversight to ensure work is completed safely and without impact to the process.
Managing construction processes within operations team.
Reading and understanding plans and specifications for all phases of construction.
Excellent written and verbal skills which will allow you to communicate in such a manner that others will clearly understand and comply with requests or information provided.
Ability to generate schedules using professional scheduling software, experience with Microsoft Projects and Primavera a plus.
Fluent understanding and capabilities with MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ensure job safety by guaranteeing SAS’s safety policies are used in construction, monitoring compliance and developing improvements to existing policy requirements.
Ensure all projects meet the department’s specifications and requirements for quality.
Oversight over all projects to be completed on or ahead of schedule.
Monitor project backlogs and schedules to advise the estimating department to maintain a healthy workload for the company.
Monitor and analyze job costs to budget.
Review subcontractor and vendor quotes for accuracy.
Monitor and review daily reporting of job progress and challenges.
Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
5+ years of experience in facilities, mechanical systems, and chemical systems design and construction highly desired.
Experience with HVAC/Exhaust systems preferred.
Experience with Ultra-Pure Waster, Industrial Waste Water a plus.
Project Management Professional (PMP).
Professional Engineering (PE) License a flus.
Experienced in the design, organization, implementation, and management of Construction and Engineering Projects.
Experienced with the management and execution of federally funded contracts within a commercial organization.
Experienced in the delegation, tasking, tracking, and reporting of tasks/projects.
Experienced in the nuances of construction efforts including insurance, bonding, licensing, estimating, and supervising.
Experience in Civil, Structural & Architectural construction a plus.
The current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $145,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
