PremiStar South is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead and oversee its commercial HVAC Service Department.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall performance of the service business, including technicians, dispatch, service coordinators, estimators, customer relationships, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a proven HVAC service leader with extensive commercial service experience who enjoys building high-performing teams, developing people, improving processes, and driving profitability while delivering exceptional customer service.
Lead the day-to-day operations of the commercial HVAC service department, including technicians, dispatchers, service coordinators, and estimating staff.
Provide leadership, coaching, and technical support to ensure outstanding customer service and operational excellence.
Oversee scheduling and workforce planning to maximize technician productivity and customer response times.
Recruit, hire, train, mentor, and develop service technicians and support staff.
Conduct performance evaluations and create development plans that promote long-term employee growth.
Monitor department performance through key metrics, including revenue, profitability, technician utilization, customer satisfaction, and response times.
Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
Ensure preventive maintenance contracts are executed on schedule while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Review service quotes, work orders, invoices, and technician documentation for quality and accuracy.
Coordinate with vendors and OEM manufacturers regarding equipment support, warranty issues, and technical training.
Promote a culture centered around safety, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Partner with leadership across operations, construction, and sales to support overall company objectives.
