Our Miami smelter and rod plant is nestled just 90 miles east of Phoenix. What You Will Do

A hands-on learning experience for individuals who have completed a classroom-based HVAC or related training program. This position combines limited classroom instruction focused on Company policies, procedures, and safety standards with structured on-the-job training to build foundational HVAC skills while supporting experienced technicians to maintain reliable and efficient HVAC systems.

• Performs basic HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting activities under supervision, including observing system operation and identifying abnormal conditions.
• Assists HVAC Technicians with the installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, repair, and testing of industrial heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems.
• Attend required classroom training sessions as necessary.
• Perform work area and equipment safety inspections.
• Perform other duties as required.

What You Bring To Freeport

• Completion of HVAC Level 1 Certificate (or equivalent technical training).
• Basic working knowledge of HVAC fundamentals, including safety standards, basic refrigeration concepts, airflow principles, and mechanical systems.
• EPA608 Certificate.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in residential or commercial HVAC maintenance and installation.
• Maintenance experience (ie filter changing, coil cleaning, assisting journeymen) 

What We Offer You 

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $21.00 - $27.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
