Job Description

This is an outstanding opportunity to develop professional expertise and contribute to a specialized team. As an intern, the person in this position typically works full-time for a defined period during a schooling break. The intern works closely with experts in the area of specialization or on teams to address critical business needs.

It is anticipated that successful execution will lead to significant career opportunities within the Lennox organization.

Physical Requirements:

Assist other technicians to perform preventative maintenance on commercial, rooftop HVAC units. As such, must be able to safely:

• Assist with necessary tools/equipment onto the rooftop – typically via fixed/extension ladder
• Work at heights
• Load and unload tools/equipment from work van
• Lifting occasionally up to 75lbs.
• Lifting to shoulder and overhead occasionally up to 25 lbs.
• Push/pull wheeled cart up to 150 lbs.
• Climb ladder up to roof height
• Extend reach overhead in a repetitive motion.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be currently enrolled in Technical school in an HVAC program
• EPA Certification is a plus
• Must be in good standing at the school with a GPA of 3.5 or above and excellent attendance.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Complete pre-employment drug test and background check process
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to climb ladders
• Moderate lifting (up to 90 pounds)
• Manual tandem lifting load up to 125 lbs
