Soon to be reimagined as The Sunny, our hotel is undergoing a complete renovation, blending modern luxury with our rich heritage. We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems throughout our property. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to maintaining a comfortable environment for guests and staff.

The future Sunny in the heart of Sunny Isles Beach is poised to redefine the beach getaway experience offering a perfect blend of rich history and unparalleled amenities. The resort will feature 339 spacious guest rooms, an eclectic private art collection, six food and beverage outlets, a fitness center, spa & salon, ocean-front pool with tiki bar and fire pits, beach club, and over 22,000 square feet of event space, including a unique oceanfront terrace.

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and components.

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.

• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.

• Collaborate with the engineering team on renovation projects.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, preferably in a hotel setting.

• EPA certification required.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and components.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
