Job Description


Responsibilities:

As an Installation and/or Service Technician with Woodruff and Smith Heating and Cooling, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent quality installation and servicing of residential and light commercial HVAC equipment at customer sites in compliance with company specifications and customer service standards. This position will include on-call duty during non-business hours (nights, weekends, and holidays) on a rotating basis. We are looking for Technicians with:

  • A customer-friendly attitude and a desire to meet/exceed customer expectations.
  • Experience with field visits to residential & lite commercial sites to install and/or service HVAC equipment to ensure efficient and proper function. Educate the customer on any issues/repairs that may be needed following inspection services and the efficient and proper use following equipment installation.
  • Installation and/or service experience with HVAC equipment to ensure efficient and proper function. Inspect HVAC equipment for potential defects. Use test equipment to analyze and isolate installation/service problems. Perform warranty service repairs.
  • A history of timely completion of all orders for installation and servicing of HVAC equipment and/or proper notification of delays.
  • Ability to sell HVAC equipment and maintenance service agreements
  • Reading and interpreting equipment diagnostics, diagrams, and operational/product manuals. Experience with trouble-shooting procedures.

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • High School Diploma required. HVAC Trade School Diploma Preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record required.
  • Must be able to pass a nationwide background check and drug screening.
  • Interact with coworkers and customers in a positive manner, follow directions and work rules, and accept constructive feedback. Communicate often with dispatch and supervisors on status of work.
  • Problem-solving skills and able to think “on-your-feet.”
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
