🔧 About the Role

Metro Mechanical is hiring experienced HVAC service technicians in Birmingham, Alabama. This is a full-time role with steady year-round work and a company vehicle. You’ll work independently on commercial HVAC and light refrigeration systems, leading service calls and mentoring junior techs.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair commercial HVAC systems

• Diagnose HVAC system issues and perform preventive maintenance

• Lead service calls and act as a resource for junior technicians

• Communicate effectively with customers and team members

• Participate in on-call rotation and handle emergency service calls

• Maintain accurate service records

📅 Schedule

• Monday to Friday

• Overtime available

• Rotating on-call schedule

✅ Requirements

• 5+ years of HVAC experience (commercial preferred)

• EPA Universal or Type II certification (required)

• Valid driver's license with clean MVR

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Strong work ethic, technical skills, and leadership qualities
