Commercial HVAC Install Technician

$20 to $35 per hour | Full-time | Company Vehicle Provided

NexGen HVAC Services is looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC Install Technician to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia.

We are a locally and family-owned commercial HVAC company serving Hampton Roads and the surrounding areas. We are looking for an installer who takes pride in craftsmanship, works with integrity, and wants to grow with a company that values quality work, teamwork, and continued technical development.

What You Will Work On

You will install a variety of commercial HVAC systems and equipment, including:

• Rooftop units large and small
• Split systems large and small
• Exhaust and Ventilation systems
• Other commercial HVAC and Refrigeration equipment and applications

You should be comfortable performing fundamental installation tasks, including brazing, flaring, wiring, vacuuming, cutting, and fabricating equipment supports such as Unistrut and threaded rod without direct instruction.

What You Need

• 1 or more years of commercial HVAC installation experience
• EPA Universal Certification preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
• Ability to read basic MEP drawings, including equipment locations, piping runs, and equipment schedules
• Experience installing and configuring refrigeration piping, electrical components, and unit controls
• Ability to braze and flare refrigerant piping
• Ability to cut and fabricate Unistrut and threaded rod
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

A Virginia HVAC Journeyman or Master certification is a plus.
