Commercial HVAC Service Technician

$25 to $35 per hour | Full-time | Company Vehicle Provided

NexGen HVAC Services is looking for an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia.

We are a locally and family-owned commercial HVAC company serving the Hampton Roads area. We are looking for a technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys troubleshooting, wants to be part of a strong team, and wants the opportunity to continue developing their technical skills.

What You Will Work On

You will maintain, diagnose, and repair a wide range of commercial DX HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including:

• Rooftop units large and small
• Split systems large and small
• Commercial refrigeration systems
• Applied Equipment
• VFDs
• VRF/VRV Systems
• DOAS/MUA Units

You do not need to be an expert in every system listed, but you should have solid commercial HVAC experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a willingness to continue learning.

What You Need

• One or more years of commercial HVAC service experience
• Basic Hand Tools and Meter
• EPA Universal Certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Electrical and unit controls troubleshooting experience
• DX HVAC troubleshooting experience
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Virginia HVAC Journeyman or Master certification is a plus.
